Thousands Experiencing Electricity in Queensland and Victoria Following Intense Weather Systems
Approximately twenty-five thousand households in southeastern Queensland were left experiencing outages on Monday morning after severe thunderstorms impacted the area, producing strong winds reaching 109 kilometers per hour.
Large Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Destruction
Locals reported giant hailstones reaching sizes of seven centimeters in particular locations. Weather authorities announced that various areas across Queensland had been affected by significant hail.

Utility workers were attempting to repair power throughout the damaged zones, with nearly 70 crews activated to handle the widespread outages.
Southern State's Storm Challenges
Simultaneously, approximately 1,000 residents in the southern state also encountered electricity disruptions after the metropolitan area saw its heaviest rainfall in a year and a half.
Emergency response teams handled nearly 600 requests for assistance across the area, mostly for structural issues but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.

During the peak on Sunday, over 28,000 energy customers in Victoria were experiencing outages.
Meteorological Predictions
Humid circumstances were predicted to continue along much of eastern Queensland this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
Tuesday was predicted as the most rainy day, with continued thunderstorm potential predicted across different parts of both states.
Medical Alert
Public health experts alerted that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, particularly given the ongoing climate situation.
This alert comes after previous incidents where comparable situations led to major medical consequences in the area.
